I’m Tia, creator of TiaOnTour, a journalist who focuses on budget-friendly, inclusive storytelling. Through my work, I invite different communities to journey with me as I explore culture and history; traveling to areas and hearing from voices that aren’t often spotlighted.

I document culture, community, and connection; highlighting global stories that blend fun, wonder, and sometimes, heartbreak. From natural disasters to neighborhood markets, I approach every experience with intentionality, relatability, and a lens rooted in empathy.

When we see travel stories, they are typically videos of luxury experiences from white, well-to-do, or skinnier influencers. While these may be fun to watch, they have never represented my reality, or that of many others. 
It is rare that I see people like me spotlighted; unapologetically Black, plus-size, and queer who often solo travels on a budget. I often still see a lack of care for underrepresented communities, with many being portrayed poorly or not considered at all. 

This is why I do what I do. 

Through Tia On Tour I document real, meaningful lived experiences, grounded in curiosity and connection. I document people and history with thoughtfulness, respect, and joy, while being fully transparent about the world around us. 
Come tag along as we learn, grow, and build connections to better understand the people around us.

The Process

  1. Initial Discovery Call - One Hour

  2. Project Quote - Delivered 2 days maximum after discovery call (unless falling on a holiday). Will include:

    1. Deliverables

    2. Pricing

    3. Optional Add-ons (such as a rush fee, extra revisions)

  3. Project Kickoff & Contract Signing - Once approved we can touch base again, if needed (30 mins). 

  4. First Draft Delivery - Unless we’ve discussed otherwise:

    1. Writing will be delivered after one week.

    2. Content creation will be delivered in two weeks.

  5. Revision & Feedback - Delivered through whichever avenue client prefers.

    1. Notes

    2. Video or Phone call (30 mins)

  6. Final Delivery & Touch Base

    1. 30 mins, if needed.
